Google introduces 'Handwrite' for mobiles and tablets

Google has introduced 'Handwrite' for smartphones and tablets that lets you search anything off the web in your own handwriting.

The best part is that you can type anywhere on the screen without having to strain your eyes on a keyboard eating away half your screen.

For Handwrite to work, you're required to enable the feature by going to Google.com on your mobile or tablet. Tap 'Settings' at the bottom of the screen and enable Handwrite. You might want to refresh the page for the new settings to take effect.

Once enabled, you'll see a bar at the bottom displaying 4 icons. Tapping the 'g' button will allow you to type in your own handwriting. There's also a space bar button and a delete button. Once you start typing, Google reveals the autocomplete searches indicated by an arrows next to them.

Users must note that this is merely a replacement for typing using the keyboard and you can still type using the latter by tapping on the search box.

Google Nexus 7 tablet specifications and price

Finally Google announced Nexus 7 tablet.There will be 2 Models of Nexus 7. 8GB model will cost $199, while the 16GB device will be priced at $249. Price includes $25 credit to spend in the Google Play store, plus a copy of Transformers Dark of the Moon.Google has begun taking pre-orders now and the Nexus 7 tablets will ship in the next two weeks.

As per rumors spread, Nexus 7 is a 7-inch tablet featuring a 1280 x 800 HD display with a pixel density of 216 pixels-per-inch. The screen is covered with what is described as “scratch-resistant Corning glass” which we can assume is a form of Gorilla Glass.

The Nexus 7 includes a front-facing camera, and "all the connectivity options you'd expect," like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.

As expected, the Nexus 7 will run on Android 4.1 “Jelly Bean” operating system

The Nexus 7 is powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor and 1GB of RAM. The tablet is powered by a 4,325mAh battery offering up to 9 hours of active use and up to 300 hours of standby time. It weighs in at 340 grams.
